Terms of Use
Last updated: 2025 · Ernest Tech House
We built a tool. What you do with it is on you. Read this.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or running Nothing Browser, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
2. What Nothing Browser Is
Nothing Browser is a network inspection and API reverse engineering tool built on Qt6 and Chromium WebEngine. It is provided as open-source software under the MIT License.
It is a developer tool. It is not a consumer product. It is not designed for casual everyday browsing.
3. What We Are Not Responsible For
This is the important part.
3.1 Your Actions
Nothing Browser is a tool. A hammer is not responsible for what you build or break with it. Neither are we.
You are solely and entirely responsible for what you do with Nothing Browser. This includes but is not limited to:
- Websites you visit
- APIs you reverse engineer
- Data you capture
- Scripts you build from exports
- Automation you run
- Terms of service you violate on third-party platforms
3.2 Website Blocks and Bans
Google, Facebook, Cloudflare-protected sites, banking platforms, and others may detect and block Nothing Browser. We are not responsible for any account suspension, IP ban, or service restriction you receive as a result of using Nothing Browser on those platforms.
3.3 Data You Capture
Nothing Browser captures network traffic, cookies, WebSocket frames, and storage data from the pages you visit. What you do with that captured data is entirely your responsibility.
Capturing data from a website does not mean you have the right to use it. Data ownership, copyright, and terms of service of the websites you visit are your problem to understand and respect — not ours.
3.4 Plugins
Community plugins are third-party code. We do not audit them. We do not guarantee their safety, accuracy, or legality. Installing a plugin is your decision. Running its code on your pages is your decision. If a plugin does something bad, that is between you and the plugin author.
3.5 Software Defects
Nothing Browser is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantee that it will work correctly, completely, or at all. We are not liable for:
- Data loss
- System damage
- Security incidents
- Financial loss
- Any other consequence of using this software
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Nothing Browser to:
- Capture or exploit personal data of others without their consent
- Perform attacks against systems you do not own or have authorization to test
- Violate applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Facilitate fraud, identity theft, or unauthorized access
Breaking these is a you problem. We built a browser with a network inspector. You chose what to point it at.
5. Open Source
Nothing Browser is MIT licensed. The license is in the repository. You can use it, modify it, redistribute it, and build commercial products with it. Attribution is not required. Just don't remove the license header.
6. No Warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND
NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT
HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY,
WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING
FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR
OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.7. Changes
We may update these terms. Updates will be reflected here. Continued use of Nothing Browser after changes means you accept the new terms.
