Nothing Blog
Praise where due. Challenge where fair. No respect for hype.
I build open source tools (Nothing Browser, Nothing Private Browser, Piggy). I use other people's open source tools every day. Some of them are brilliant. Some of them are broken in ways nobody wants to admit. Some of them are trying to do too much.
This blog is where I write about both.
What I Write About
- My own tools — I won't review them (that would be weird), but I will post tutorials and deep dives showing you how to use them.
- Libraries (Bun, Express, Fastify, whatever you send me)
- Apps (VS Code, Chrome, Obsidian, anything MIT-licensed)
- Packages (npm, PyPI, Crates.io — if it's MIT, it's fair game)

Want Me To Review Your Project?
The Rules:
- MIT licensed only. I don't review proprietary stuff. Open source gets open opinions.
- You don't mind negative words. I'm not mean. But I'm not soft.
- You don't get mad easily. If you can't handle someone saying your thing has problems, don't send it.
- It has to be a good thing according to you. Not great. Not perfect. Just something you actually stand behind.
Send your GitHub link to: ernesttechouse@gmail.com
I will review it. I will praise what works. I will call out what doesn't. That's the deal.
What You Will Not See Here
- Respect for authority. I don't care if it's from Vercel, Google, or a solo developer in a garage. Code stands or falls.
- Arguments. What I write is my view. You see things differently? Good for you. Don't email me about it. It will not make sense at all.
- Hype. "10x faster." "The future of X." "Killer feature." No. Show me benchmarks or be quiet.
Why Bother?
Because most OSS blogs are either:
- Marketing disguised as reviews
- Hype disguised as journalism
- Too nice to be useful
I'm not a YouTuber. I'm not selling a course. I build things. I use things. I write what I see.
About My Tools
I build:
- Nothing Browser — Scraper-first browser with built-in DevTools
- Nothing Private Browser — Privacy browser with zero telemetry
- Piggy — TypeScript headless browser library
I won't review my own tools (that would be weird). But I will post tutorials, deep dives, and show you how to use them effectively. Check the Piggy documentation for the official guide.
